Terrie joined the Catholic Daughters of the Americas® Court St. Bernadette #1108, East Bernard in 1992 and transferred to Court Immaculate Heart of Mary #1884, Conroe in 2009. In 2015 she organized and became a charter member of Court St. Jane Frances de Chantal #2699, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, The Woodlands. In May of 2016 she organized their Junior Catholic Daughter Court.
Terrie served her local courts as Vice Regent, Regent, and chairman of sixteen different committees receiving numerous first and second place state and national awards as the local court newsletter editor. Terrie has attended every State and National Convention since 2000.
Terrie began her career on the State Level in 2005 serving on Convention Committees, as a District Deputy, Public Relations State Chairman, State Scrapbook Chairman, and State Website Chairman. In 2017 she created/published the Texas CDA 100th Anniversary History book, A Journey of Unity and Charity in the Lone Star State. She is a member of the Past Regents Club (PRC) and loves to work on Habitat for Humanity builds. Terrie received a Top 5 District Deputy award, three State Website awards, the State Regent’s award, as well as a 2nd and 3rd place National Award as state website chairman. In 2019 Terrie was elected as the 2019-2021 Texas State Secretary and at the 2021 State Convention, she was elected as Second Vice State Regent. Terrie was a national convention contributing photographer for SHARE Magazine at five national conventions receiving a National Certificate of Appreciation. Terrie was elected to the 2024 National Nominating Committee at the 2022 National Convention in San Juan Puerto Rico.
She was born in Wisconsin, attended Catholic elementary and high schools and college in Ohio. Terrie and her husband, Mark, together have eight children and twenty grandchildren. Before retiring in 1992, Terrie had been the circulation manager at the Houston Post and owned her own interior design business.
Terrie not only loves to serve and experience life to the fullest with her family, CDA and A.C.T.S. sisters, she is also a Sacristan, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Faith in the Fire team member, a member of KJT, and a County Fair Judge. Experiencing life with her grandchildren from zoos to fishing, sports to the theatre, climbing a mountain or reading a book, each adventure is the joy of her heart. In her spare time, Terrie enjoys traveling, playing cards, crafting, and working in her yard.
