Fr. Victor Perez is a priest of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston from Katy, TX (born in Dallas). He has a younger brother and sister, each with four little kids and blessed with parents who live in Katy. He attended the University of Texas at Austin studying business. His third year of college he had a conversion during his second semester of studying abroad in Seville, Spain in 2000. After a college career of partying like he thought was normal, he went to confession in Fatima that changed his life. It was in Lourdes a couple months later I that he first vocalized his desire to be a priest, suddenly asking a priest, "how do you become a priest.?” After getting involved in the Catholic Center at UT Awakening retreats during his final year in Austin, he discovered a deep desire to serve God as a priest. After discerning religious life and going to seminary for 8 years, Fr. Victor was ordained a priest in 2011 by Daniel Cardinal DiNardo. After serving at St. Cecilia and St. Jerome both in Houston, He went to become pastor of Most Holy Trinity in Angleton where he served the Catholic Daughters and met current Regent Becky Brown. In 2019 he was reassigned as pastor of two parishes which had been merged for only three years: St. Joseph and St. Stephen in Houston. He maintains his residence at St. Joseph which is Houston’s second oldest Catholic Church.
