Catholic Daughter members of Texas,
Following the 59th Biennial National CDA Convention in Puerto Rico in July and the first National Board meeting in September, I was given my assignments and I am so excited to have Texas as one of them! This is my second term as a National Director for Catholic Daughters and so humbled to be working as the ‘hands and feet of Jesus’.
Just a little about me to share.....I’m a native of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. When I married my sweetheart we moved to his home town of Milford, Iowa. Love living in a small rural community and only go back to the Twin Cities to visit family. We have four grown and married children; nine (9) grandchildren and two (2) greatgrandchildren. During my years of employment, I have worn some different hats, but have to say I spent most of my time working in a furniture factory sewing for ten (10) years and then with the Research and Development Department for another ten (10) years. My husband and I are both retired and volunteering for the church and CDA.
Prayers for the courts in Texas that you are excited about CDA as I am and want to be the ‘hands and feet of Jesus’ too. Catholic Daughters is an organization that can do all this through the ‘Circle of Love’ program and more. Some individuals may be interested in Education or Legislation. Some may be more focused on Spirituality or Families. Whatever the interests are; there is a spot for you to shine and also invite women you know who have those same interests or interests that they can share for the good of many as a Catholic Daughter. Texas is a front runner when it comes to JCDA and that is phenomenal! The next step is those Campus Courts to open in Texas. With the many senior CDA courts, our hope would be to open at least two or three in the next two years. It takes good leadership, prayer and dedication to these college gals.
Our goal is to do what we can and stretch and grow CDA like a rubber band even with the Prayer Warriors in CDA. Prayers do work! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers and I ask you to pray for me that I may be a humble servant of God and to be as much help as I can to all.
God Bless you All!
