I am so excited that our Worthy National Regent Sherry Nilles appointed me the new national supervisor of Texas.I live only thirty miles from the state border on I-10. My Husband David and I camped in Texas every chance we got but Hurricane Laura decided to put a tree into our
camper a few months ago. I love everything about Texas, you have been a good neighbor!
My name is Connie Dronette and I am currently serving as National Secretary-Treasurer. I have been a Catholic Daughter for eighteen years. My mom loved her membership and encouraged me to join. I am so happy that I did. She was so proud of me as I began serving at the local level, then the state level and she did watch me become a national officer on Facebook. I was so blessed to share those moments with her. My Catholic Daughter sisters were my strength when mom passed away a few weeks ago. You lifted me in prayer, and it was so comforting.
David and I have been married for 42 years and we have three children, three in-laws, and nine precious grandchildren. I retired from education in August after 34 wonderful years. I spent 29 years in the classroom and five as a principal in a Catholic School. My favorite years were the five I taught special education. That is where I saw the face of God in the smiles of my students on a daily basis. David is a carpenter and works at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, where we are longtime members. God has blessed us with a large circle of family, church family, and friends. They are our treasures.
In August of 2019, the National Board joined the Facebook world. It is a special project of mine. Little did I know that God was going to use our new page as a way of bringing us together in prayer. When our communities began shutting down, and our school closed, I went home like everyone else. The Spirit started pulling me towards praying live. I had never done a livepost on Facebook, but I learned. I love meeting so many new people. I made many new CDA sister connections quickly, many of whom live in Texas. I do my best to follow the stirrings of my heart when the Spirit moves me. I encourage you to do the same. It can lead to blessed and beautiful days. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know more of you. I hope to visit soon.
Your Servant Sister,
Connie Dronette
National Secretary-Treasurer
