Be timely about sending dues reminders and encouraging members to pay dues early.

Create a membership plan and implement it.

If there is a high percentage of English as a second language women in your Court, include newsletter articles translated into their native tongue.

Pray for those members who are absent from meetings and other Court activities.

Instead of mailing a donation to a charity your court supports, present it in person at one of their events. This provides an opportunity to explain what CDA is, and how the money was raised.

Have some events with the Knights of Columbus, and recruit their wives.

Support the State Habitat for Humanity Project physically, financially, spiritually. This is another way to demonstrate Christian ideals.

Encourage members to pursue dual-membership if they live away from home for an extended period of time.

Hold joint meetings with other women’s groups.

Match up meeting guests with members who are willing to help them on their way.

Ask a member from another court, district, or state chairman to speak at the meeting. (Psalms 137:3 “… Sing for us a song of Zion…”)

Utilize the artistic talents of members to enhance special meetings and events.

Feature a member each month and have her tell her CDA membership story.

Make a personal introduction to each guest, giving them your name and a tidbit about yourself.

Reach out to mother/daughter “teams”. Sometimes people feel comfortable joining a group when they know someone they are joining with.

Know your audience and prepare your recruitment presentations accordingly

Encourage court members to wear CDA apparel as often as they can at parish and church events, as well as when in public.

Have fun meetings! Keep business to a minimum (one hour or less!) or skip over it sometimes.

Have a mixture of personalities, professions, ages, etc. in your court; each group has something to contribute.

Create a guest of honor seat at every table
